About
Roy has been involved in church ministries since exiting the United States Army in 1987. Following his time in the military as a combat medic, Roy was initially pursuing a medical
degree with the thought of being a medical doctor. The call of God diverted Roy from medicine to ministry. Roy’s entire theological education has come while also being engaged in full-time ministry. He is passionate about healthy ministers and churches and his doctoral work culminated in the development of a church health process which Roy coordinates across the
Illinois District of the Assemblies of God. Roy is married to his high school sweetheart Leighanne and together they have three grown children and five grandchildren. Roy loves all things out-of-doors, is also currently studying to become a registered parliamentarian.
