Transfer of Credit Policy

Students transferring from other colleges or universities will follow the admissions checklist and in addition:

  • Arrange for all official college/university transcripts to be sent to Trinity Bible College. Students with college credit earned elsewhere will be classified as transfer students. Up to 95 semester credits may be transferred into a Bachelor of Arts degree program at Trinity. Up to 30 semester credits may be transferred into an Associate of Arts program at Trinity.
  • Grades of “C” or better will be considered for transfer credit, and courses must be similar to those taught at Trinity in order to be accepted in transfer.
  • Students transferring from a non-accredited institution may transfer a limited number of credits. Such credits will be transferred after students have successfully completed one academic year with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher. Students meeting the GPA criteria will have credits approved for transfer and the credits will be placed on the academic transcript at that time. Students failing to meet the GPA criteria after the year-long grace period will no longer be eligible to receive those credits in transfer and they will then need to take those courses at Trinity.

For students who have attended Trinity, an academic transcript of credit may be obtained through The National Student Clearinghouse. Students will not be issued official transcripts if they have outstanding bills with any office of the college or if student loans are in default.

Questions may be directed to the Academic Records office via phone at 701-349-5796 or email at registrar@trinitybiblecollege.edu.

Trinity Bible College Standards

The recruitment and marketing strategies we implement in the Enrollment Department of Trinity Bible College and Graduate School in no way show favoritism to recruiting past U.S. service members in order to obtain TA funds.  In all our practices, whether using third-party vendors to collect names, travelling to high schools, churches, districts, meeting with families, calling, texting, emailing, posting on social media, or any other form of recruitment, communication with, or marketing to prospective students, we recruit according to two standards-one being if the student is “mission-fit” (would they fit well within our institution’s vision and mission), and second-do they meet our admissions criteria to attend.  For further clarity and emphasis, in no way do we look at VA eligibility as a condition for our recruitment or marketing strategies of prospective students.

If you’re eager to learn in a Christian environment, build lasting relationships in a Spirit-filled college setting, and grow in your walk with God, we encourage you to apply and join our community.
