- Established a training center through Global University and taught as a volunteer, both degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking students in preparation for ministry.
About
Dr. McGougan was born in Kilwinning Scotland, immigrated as a young boy with his family to Powell River British Columbia. Grew up on the west coast of British Columbia Canada and indicates that he owes much of his direction in life and calling into ministry to the Pastors and leadership of his home church, Evangel Church.
Dr. McGougan is an ordained minister with the Peninsular Florida District of the Assemblies of God and has been in Pastoral ministry since 1972. He has traveled extensively throughout the Southeast Midwest and Northwest leading directing and arranging musical groups. He currently serves as Minister and Elder at Gulf Coast Church in Bonita Springs, Florida. He also serves as Chaplain for Hope Hospice where he has served for almost 2 decades.
Outside of God’s grace, mercy and calling Dr. McGougan describes his beloved wife Laura as his foundation and the best thing that ever happened in his life. They have been married for 55 plus years and are blessed with three daughters, two grandsons and three granddaughters and have recently learned that they are about to become great grandparents.
