About
John has been engaged in ministry since 2012, combining local church leadership, national denominational service, and Christian publishing. He earned his PhD in Practical Theology from Trinity Bible College, focusing on children’s ministry curricula in a digital age. John has served with the Assemblies of God USA in their national children’s ministry department and continues to equip churches to disciple the next generation through training, resource development, and publishing initiatives.
John pastors Awaken Church, a rural congregation where he regularly preaches and develops ministry leaders. His passion for rural churches shapes much of his ministry, as he is committed to resourcing and encouraging communities often overlooked in wider ministry conversations. Some of his areas of interest are Practical Theology, Children’s and Family Ministry, Curriculum Development, and the impact of digital culture on discipleship.
