The 2008 Trinity Lions football season looks to be an exciting one! This years schedule has the Lions playing five home games. A few changes in the schedule this year have Trinity fans excited about watching the Lions take on four new teams. These include MSU-Bottineau, Concordia (JV), Kentucky Christian, and St. Scholastica. The season kicks off with an away game on September 6th at the University of Minnesota Morris. The following week has the Lions at home to take on a tough NAIA opponent, South Dakota School of Mines.

Trinity Bible College was pleased to learn that two members of it’s baseball team were selected for first team All-Region for the North Central Region of the NCCAA. Congratulations to Brent Holt and Ben Snyder!

President Jack Strom, along with Executive Assistants Sam Johnson and Sam Farina, have a Renewed Vision Overview & Heartland Initiative Plan for Trinity Bible College. Three facts of excellence mark TBC as uniquely suited to its stated purpose, which was set in place by its founders in 1948, “to train ministers and missionaries for world-wide service,” but with a unique commitment for the Heartland of America. Trinity Bible College celebrated it's 58th graduating class early this month. Highlights from Baccalaureate included hearing two graduates share their final thoughts to their class; Kevin Beck and April Skaar. Commencement saw the inauguration and Commencement message of President G.L. (Jack) Strom, the awarding of an Honorary Doctoral Degree to Rev. Lowell Lundstrom, and the awarding of degrees to the 58th graduation class.

Nearly $40,000 in scholarships was awarded to students who will be continuing their education at Trinity Bible College in the 2008 - 2009 school year. These scholarships are funded by the generosity of individuals and corporations desiring to assist students in obtaining quality higher education. The Trinity Track Team competed at Jamestown College last weekend finishing in 8th place. Senior Sprinter Heston Huwa took 7th place in the 100 Meter and 5th place in the 200 Meter. Freshmen Sprinter Greg Washington ran a personal best in the 100 Meter finishing in 12th place. Sophomore Sprinter Jordan Braunberger set a new school record in the 800 Meter with 2:25.90 and Freshmen Sprinter Kevin Gilleland also set a new school record in the 400 Meter with 1:00.84.
