About
Douglas Witherup serves as the Executive Director of Church Ministries in NC. Prior to this role, Doug served on staff at Concord First Assembly for sixteen years, ten as a youth pastor and five as the Lead Associate/ Teaching pastor. Doug also serves as the District Youth Director of NC, a position he has been in for the past six years. Recently, Doug completed his doctoral program at George Fox University under the lead mentorship of Leonard Sweet. Doug has a passion for communicating God’s Word with creativity, speaking life into leaders, and building great teams. He enjoys traveling, the outdoors, reading, and writing. Most of all, Doug loves to spend time with his wife Camden, son Cade, and daughter Ana, especially if it involves going to the beach or the lake or eating at Gary’s BBQ.
