Ellendale, ND: Senior guard Mikey Rosario joined an
elite club over the weekend scoring his 2000th career point. Mikey
went into the Assemblies of God Basketball Classic in Phoenixville, PA needing
only 43 points to make it to 2000. Rosario scored 16 points on day one of the
classic against the 1st ranked team in the NCAA DII. He then
followed it up by scoring 31 points in day two against the 2nd
ranked team. Rosario needed only 27 and he stepped to the free throw line with
5:02 to play in the game and sank his 27th point to give him 2000
career points. Mikey added 22 points on the final day of the tournament against
the 10th ranked team Central Bible College (Springfield, MO). Mikey
is now 4th all time in Trinity Lions scoring with 2020 points. Ahead
of him on the list is in third place is Vaughn Jordan, in second place Bill
Schofield and the all time leading scorer in Trinity Bible College Basketball
Bill Jackson. The Trinity Bible College Athletic Department will be honoring
Mikey will a presentation before Friday, January 18th’s game against
Dakota College Bottineau at 8pm. Congratulations Mikey Rosario!
