Glow Ball Bowling Event a Huge Success

The Trinity Bible College students have been treated to a busy first semester with plenty of opportunities to be involved and have some fun and the lasted event may have been the largest. James Webster with the help of Samantha Berge, Brandon Graham, Heidi Arin and Student Government organized a Glow Ball bowling event held at Village Bowl in Aberdeen, SD. The event asked for teams of six students, faculty and staff to be put together to compete to see who could have fun and bowl the best. Twenty-one teams of six signed up while over 150 students, faculty and staff of Trinity Bible College showed up for the event. Prizes were given out all night ranging from simple door prizes to contests while you were bowling.  First person to knock down all the pins except the 7 and the 10 won $25 to IHOP, first person to get a strike won a News Boys greatest hits CD, and first married or engaged man to hit 8 or more pins down in one frame won a $20 gift card to pro flowers and free ice cream at McDonalds to take his lady out. The highest score for a game on the night went to Nathan Walstad with a 188 and the team winners were “The Alaskans” which combined for a score of over 800.

The event was all about getting together as a big campus family (staff, students, and family members from other parts of the state also came) and sharing in an adventurous night of fun and entertainment together, sharing each other’s gifts and talents, and re-uniting after our fall break. We want to lovingly acknowledge The Village Bowl staff and management for helping us out with such a great event. We also would like to respectfully acknowledge The Red Rooster Coffee House for allowing us to have a sensational after party with live music from our very own musicians here at Trinity Bible College (Andrea Wileman, Kendra Brockschmidt, Liz Gonzales, Carissa Scaar, Josh Froelich, Serena Atchley, Emily Rahn, Austin Deshner, Rochelle Heilburn, Colton Vance). We were honored to be given the opportunity to use these wonderful facilities for what has been an amazing time of fun and fellowship with friends and family! A special thank you as well to the stores and companies that donated prizes McDonalds, Burger-King, Wal-Mart, Student Government, and The Village Bowl.

We especially want to say THANK YOU to the students and faculty for coming to the event and making it all possible, you all were great! We are planning to do more big events like this in the future, so this is only the beginning.
