Trinity Bible College is pleased to announce this year’s All-Conference award recipients. The awards were announced at this season’s Conference Tournament held in St. Cloud, MN this past weekend.
For the women, Junior Kristin Ayze and freshman Quimby Handy were named to the All-Conference team. In the championship game, Ayze scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had 5 steals. Handy scored 16 points and pulled down 6 rebounds to help the Lions win their first Conference Championship in school history. Chelsey Eng was named All-Conference Honorable Mention for her efforts. In the first game of the tournament vs. AFBLS, Eng had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 steals. Congratulations to the All-Conference recipients and to the women on a great tournament.
On the men’s side, Shean Bosworth was named NIAC Co-Most Valuable Player of the Year. On the season, Bosworth averaged 18.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1 block per game. Seniors Jimmy McKinzie and Colby Simonsen were also named to the All-Conference Team. For the tournament, McKinzie averaged 19 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. Colby Simonsen scored 17 points, hitting 5 three pointers in the championship game of the Conference Tournament. He also grabbed 5 rebounds in the game. Senior Mo Mahoney was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. For his career, Mo has over 500 points and 500 rebounds. Congratulations guys on your awards.
Coach Jordan Nowell was also awarded with his 3rd consecutive NIAC Coach of the Year honor. He has led the Lions to three straight NIAC Regular Season titles. Congratulations to everyone for their hard-work and dedication this season.
