Trinity Hosts the 2010 AGCU Basketball Classic

On January 14th, 15th, and 16th the Trinity Bible College men and women’s basketball teams will be hosting the Assemblies of God Credit Union Basketball Classic in Ellendale at the Ray Ulmer Field House. The teams include:

Central Bible College, Springfield, IL
North Central University, Minneapolis, MN
Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND
Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA

Trinity Women End Their Season with a Tough Loss to Faith

The Lions entered the Regional Tournament with the third seed, drawing the #2 seeded Faith Baptist Bible College Eagles as their first opponent. It was a hard fought game for the Lions as they pressed the whole game and battled against Faith’s 6’3 post player in the middle. “We found ourselves in several point deficits throughout the game, but the ladies kept fighting back and wouldn’t let Faith put them away,” says Coach Nowell. With a little over five minutes on the clock, the Lions cut Faith’s lead to within three points, but were never able to push through to gain a lead.
Trinity Basketball Earns Eight All-Conference Awards

Trinity Bible College is pleased to announce this year’s All-Conference award recipients. The awards were announced at this season’s Conference Tournament held in St. Cloud, MN this past weekend.

NIAC Conference Champions The Trinity Bible College women’s basketball team has seen its fair share of hard times this season, but their hard-work and dedication paid off this past weekend. The Lady Lions won the NIAC tournament for the first time in school history defeating AFLBS and St. Cloud Technical College on consecutive nights. The Lady Lions were the #3 seed entering the tournament, having went 1-1 vs. AFLBS and 0-2 vs. St. Cloud Tech. on the season. But the tournament would be different!

Trinity Women Play Last Home Game of Season

The Trinity Bible College women lost to Dakota College at Bottineau 32-68 in their final home game of the season. The Lions were able to keep it close in the first half, but had a hard time putting up points in the second half. Shianne Montgomery scored 15 to pace the Lions. Kristin Ayze added 11 to help with the scoring. “I thought our defense played well in the first half. We were able to gets stops consistently, but we just couldn’t get anything going on the offensive end. We put together a strong first half, but that wasn’t the way we wanted to end our last home game.
